Images and equations
Add a picture, and write mathematics that renders.
Images can be dropped straight onto the page, pasted from the clipboard, or inserted from the / menu. Several at once is fine — the indicator counts them while they upload.
SVG files are deliberately not accepted. An SVG can carry script, and it would run inside your account.
The $$ shortcut only fires at the start of an empty line, and never inside a code block — so a pair of dollar signs in a shell snippet stays exactly what you typed.
Equations are written in LaTeX and rendered as you type. Insert one with / then math, or type $$ followed by a space at the start of an empty line. For a formula inside a sentence rather than on its own line, use the inline equation instead.
