Common questions
- Where is the save button?
- There isn't one. Changes are saved as you type, and the indicator near the top of the page tells you when the last one was stored. Read more.
- Can I work offline?
- In the iOS app, yes — pages you have opened stay available, and edits made without a signal are sent when you reconnect. In a browser, you need a connection. Read more.
- Why can't I put a folder inside a page?
- Folders only organise, so they live at the top level or inside other folders. A page can go anywhere — including inside another page, which is usually what people want when they reach for this. Read more.
- I deleted a page by accident. Is it gone?
- No. Archiving moves a page to Trash along with everything inside it, and Trash has a Restore button. Only Delete forever destroys anything. Read more.
- A search result has nothing highlighted in the preview. Is it a mistake?
- No. Search matches word stems, so “running” matches a block that only says “run”. The match is real even when the exact letters are not there to mark. Read more.
- If I cancel, do I lose my pages?
- No. Your pages are kept. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and after that the pages are still there waiting if you subscribe again. You can download all of them in the meantime, subscription or not. Read more.
- Can I share a page with someone who doesn't have an account?
- Yes. Share this page, at the top of the page, publishes it at a link anyone can open without signing in. The link shows the page as it was when you published it. Republish to update it — that issues a new link and the old one stops working — or Make private to take it down. Other pages it links to stay private.
- Why won't it accept my SVG?
- SVG files can contain script, which would run inside your account. Every other common image format works — export the SVG as PNG if you need it on a page. Read more.
