Folders, and putting pages inside pages

Make a folder, nest pages, and understand the one rule about what can go where.

There are two kinds of thing in the sidebar: folders and pages. Folders only organise; pages hold writing and can also hold other pages.

Press the new-folder button at the top of the page list.
It is the left of the two buttons under the word PAGES.
Give the folder a name.
Add things inside it from the folder's own ⋯ menu.
New page inside and New folder inside both appear there.

There is exactly one rule about what can contain what, and it is worth knowing because it is the only arrangement the app will refuse:

You want to put	Where it can go
A page	At the top level, inside a folder, or inside another page.
A folder	At the top level, or inside another folder — never inside a page.

Give a folder a colour from its ⋯ menu. On a long list, colour is faster to scan than reading names.
