The iOS app
Coming soon to the App Store — the keyboard bar, and what the app does that the website cannot.
The iOS app is coming soon to the App Store, for iPhone and iPad. Until then, DigiPages works in Safari on both — this page describes what the app will add.
The iOS app is the same editor, wrapped in native navigation. The page list, search and menus are built with iOS controls; the document itself is the one you already know.
The bar that sits on top of the keyboard is the app's answer to a toolbar you would otherwise have to scroll to. From left to right it inserts a block, opens the / menu, opens formatting, inserts an image, links a page, undoes, redoes, opens the block menu, and dismisses the keyboard.
The / and @ menus open above that bar rather than next to the caret, because the keyboard would otherwise cover them.
On an iPad the page list and the page sit side by side. Drag the line between them to make the list wider or narrower, and double-tap it to put it back. Folders wear the same colours, icons and emoji as on the website.
Your page list is kept on the device, so it still shows with no signal, and an edit made with no signal is queued and sent when you are back online. Opening a page needs a connection.
Subscriptions are managed on the website, not in the app, and so is importing from Notion or Markdown — the page list on your phone shows what you import as soon as it is done.
